Heather Haggerty ABCDT AKC Evaluator
Heather is the owner/operator of Lucky Dog Academy. She is a Certified Dog Trainer and mentor trainer graduated with honors from Animal Behavior College, an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator and a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). She has two Border Collies and has competed in UKI, USDAA, CPE, AKC and Nadac agility, and also enjoys herding, nosework, obedience and trick training as well as therapy work.
Heather has volunteered with dog rescue for over ten years. During this time she saw many nice dogs fail in their homes and end up in shelters or rescues because of lack of good training. This lead to her opening Lucky Dog, to try to help more dogs succeed in their homes and not end up in those types of situations.
Heather has been a dog trainer for over 15 years. She uses positive reinforcement methods, her goal is to have your dog WANT to do what you want them to do. This makes a dog work happily for you, not fear you. The more dogs learn the easier it is to teach them and the more they want to learn. A well trained dog learns how to use their brain and is a happier dog. A bored dog will almost always get into trouble!
Heather is also a big advocate of agility training. She believes dogs were bred to do a job and that has been taken away from most dogs. Many working breeds that don't have something they consider a "job" can become bored, neurotic or destructive. Agility gives these dogs a sense of working, even if it's all fun and games.

Arlyn Sigeti CPDT-KA, CTDI, AKC Fit Dog Instructor, AKC Temperament Test Evaluator, AKC CGC Evaluator, Certified in Canine Cognition, and Pet Nutrition
Arlyn has been training dogs since 1995, when she rescued her first Border Collie, Sadie. Arlyn has been training and competing in flyball, herding, obedience and agility since 1996. She has achieved four agility championships with her Tripawd Border Collie, Elvis, also a Herding Champion. She has been judging AKC agility for 20+ years, and is also a UKI judge.
Arlyn believes that dogs are incredibly intelligent and through positive reinforcement training, they can become wonderful companions and achieve many things. Participation in dog sports, whether it is agility, tricks, nosework, obedience, builds confidence and helps a dog reach it’s full potential.
Over the years, Arlyn has worked with several rescue groups and has helped many rescue dogs find forever homes through humane and fear free training.
She currently shares her home with Spud (BC wannabe), and Border Collies Elvis (Tripawd), Mick, Flick, and Groot( the baby). She formerly had an Australian Cattle Dog, a Giant Schnauzer, and a Norwegian Elkhound. And if that wasn't enough, she also has birds.
In addition to training dogs, Arlyn was a Montessori Preschool teacher for 20 years

Corinne Batterman AKC Evaluator
Corinne started training agility when she was looking for a way to give her 1st Austrailian Shepherd, Auddi, a healthy outlet for her energy 10 years ago. Since then she has worked with her own dogs in agility, nosework, obedience, herding, dock diving, canine fitness, Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Advance, Canine Good Citizen Urban, and is a Certified Therapy Dog Team with her dog Guss through Alliance of Therapy Dogs. While she participates in many activities with her dogs she currently competes in agility, nosework, and dock diving. Some of her favorite things to do with her dogs though is go for hikes, spend time on dog friendly patios, and try new classes/seminars! She has been able to take what she has learned by training her own dogs and applying those training techniques to the many foster dogs that have come into her home through different herding rescues. While she teaches as an agriculture teacher, she found her second passion when she began to assist in puppy, beginner obedience, and beginner agility classes. Corinne’s second passion, other than teaching agriculture, is working with owners and their dogs. When she sees owners overcome a difficult task with their dogs, complete a course, or achieve a new goal she is proud to know that she helped others grow with their dogs.
Corinne has 4 canine companions - Elli Mae and Guss Guss CGCA CGCU TKN who are Border Collie Mixes, Marni CGCA TKN an Australian Shepherd, and Rip CGCA CGCU TKN NN a Miniature American Shepherd who is blind.

Fabio Festi
A bit about myself: I started in agility in 2012 with my dog Guinness—it was love at first sight! I could never have imagined that this sport would take me to four IMCA World Championships.
Guinness and I began competing in 2014, and in 2015, we were selected for the Italian Agility Team. We participated in the following worldwide championships:
• 2015 in Traun (Austria) as a reserve for the Individual Team;
• 2016 in Ostrava (Czech Republic), where we won the gold medal in Agility Individual;
• 2017 in Tattendorf (Austria), where we won the gold medal in Jumping Individual;
• 2018 in Huntingdon (England), where we earned a gold medal in Jumping Individual and placed fourth in Combined.
In 2019, I retired Guinness. Since 2014, I had been training my second dog, Renji, an amazing Border Collie. Despite our efforts and training, Renji was diagnosed with a congenital disease, which forced us to stop competing for his health. Today, Renji enjoys life as a beloved pet and loves learning new tricks!
Currently, I am preparing my Border Collie, Ava, under the guidance of my Italian coach, Omar Babini. This collaboration is helping Ava and me grow as a team and refine our skills for future competitions.
My passion for agility extends beyond competition—I love sharing my knowledge and experience with others. My journey as an agility instructor includes:
• 2015–2018: Dog Club Scaligero in Verona, Italy;
• 2019–2021: Skipper Dog Club in Alba, Italy;
• 2022–2023: For Your K9 in Chicago;
• 2023–2024: K9 Sport and Activity Center in New Jersey.
Agility has taught me so much about dog psychology. I firmly believe that the foundation of a great team is a strong relationship with your dog. That’s why I emphasize basic training and continuously expand my knowledge. I also own Paw Agreement LLC, where I address dogs’ behavioral issues to improve the quality of life for both dogs and their owners.After over 10 years in the canine world, my ultimate goal is clear: to help every team achieve the best possible relationship. My motto? Pull out the best from every team!

Angie Pawinski
I am a methodical trainer that loves to achieve a balance. I help to make a confident dog that has the
knowledge to know when to be independent and also knows when to listen and be attentive to the handler. With help in recognizing timely cues, the goal is to strive to be the most efficient team you can be. Agility is a process and understanding that each piece of the puzzle should be in place first is key to reducing many mistakes when you begin trialing. We want your dog to have the confidence and skills to maintain that throughout the dog’s agility career. With the help ofback chaining behaviors, your dog can be a happy, confident pup!
